Once more into the breach, dear friends. We are counting on the players to bring food for the buffet. Those bringing cold dishes or desserts will receive 500 SP while those bringing a hot dish will receive 1 build. No one player can receive more than 1 build

I'll bring some Ziti again this year.

Both, 1 with red sauce, 1 with Alfredo for those who don't like/can't have red sauce.

There won't be meat in it.

I will do my usual Hot Spiced Cider trick.

As I haven't been to the ball, is there any way to reheat dishes at the premesis (IE: banquet hot platters, stove/oven, etc)?

crock pots are usually the thing.

you can bring chaffing dishes with the warming gel, or a crock pot, or plug in roaster

I can bring a crock pot of yummy green enchilada chili

I plan on bringing goat cheese stuffed dates.

To clarify on Diane's post - no heating method is provided, it's Bring Your Own Heat.

In the past, we've had issues with the number of, and load on, outlets. It's best if you can bring it hot, or use a non-electric heating method, if possible.

I'm definitely open to making something--but are there any popular (or unpopular) dishes from previous years I should be aware of?

I don't want to make something and have it be someone else's specialty, or a hated dish. I can cook almost anything...

How does everyone feel about Mac & Cheese/Broccoli cups for a hot dish?
They're in cupcake wrappers and easy to eat/walk at the same time. And...semi-healthy?

Bring it and it will be eaten. Just confirm what it is.

It's just basic mac and cheese with broccoli, it just comes in an easier-to-eat form

I can bring Meat balls cooked in a sweet sauce as a hot meal along withe a fudge dessert.

I can make some sliders using King's Hawaiian Rolls. For people with food allergies this would contain the following:

Can we use sterno trays to keep food warm?

If you provide the tray, you can use it.

I will pick up 4 gallons of cider, along with the pot & burner.

Steve & Meredith will bring 4 gallons each.

Last year, I think we did 20 gallons total - I think we could use 2 or 3 more people to bring 4 gallons each.
