Gary, will do.
Tom, thank you - that's exactly the kind of thing I need. My eyes just begin to cross after a while of doing this...

You really didn't have to update the Psions... I'm sure you could have just "accidentally" deleted the page...

Yeah, I realized that (along with the Defenses) when I was typing them up. They're under review, but may take a bit longer than the other reviews since they are more fundamental to the class.

You could just take psions out of the game Geoff. I bet it's way easier than reviewing them and trying to figure out their new casting stuff and abilities.

Prayers are done.
All Lower Lists changes are done, which means the Online Rulebook is completely updated, pending any reviews.
Please take a moment to review your class spells, prayers, or other abilities, and make sure you update any In-Game Spellbooks or such you may have.
If you spot any errors, formatting or layout issues, typos, something I missed, etc. - please post here to let me know.
Higher List changes will be done next week, and newer versions of the documents made available to players with those lists.

2nd rank psi disp, cell adj did cost 1pp. Now?
To clarify, am I also to assume that a mater list like valence mage will fall under standard "magic" point costs? How about valence like ench arm. that were 2 ap for 1 mp. Is the ap rate increased because we have fewer mp?

The following updates have been approved:
[hr]
The prayer Lay Hands (from the Life Domain) now heals 32 Body.
The Druid spell Germinate now covers an area with a 10' radius from the caster.
The Wizardry spell Suppress Magic now suppresses 16 MP instead of 50.
The Psionic ability Cell Adjustment now heals 6 Body instead of 2.
The Wild Mage spell Wild Blood now heals 4 Body instead of 3.
The Smithing skill Balance Armor now costs 1/10 the total AP of the armor being balanced, in CP.
The Smithing Promotion has been updated to be 1 Crafting Point per 1 Build of skills embedded. The limit of 15 Build worth of skills remains unchanged. Smiths who have already purchased the skill will not have their item revoked or changed, but will need to catch up on the build difference before spending more build.
Sorcery Wands now hold up to 3 MP per Rank of the wand.
Faith Point Losses for Piety infractions have been changed to the following:
1st Degree: -5FP for 3 months
2nd Degree: -10FP for 4 months
3rd Degree: -15FP for 5 months
4th Degree: -20FP for 6 months

The above changes will be made in the Online Rulebook shortly.
Still under review:
Feign Death (Warlock)
Feign Life (Necromancer)
Detect Life (Healer)
Soothe (Healer)
Germinate (Gaian Prayer)

Because I've already been asked...
Psions and Wild Mages did not get a proportionate boost to their healing abilities because they are not classes designed to be healers - their abilities are secondary in nature. As such, they CAN heal, but not as well as someone whose purpose is to do so.
Also, with the adjustment in points, the Cell Adjustment discipline went UP in casting cost from 1 PsiP to 2 PsiP, in addition to the new ratio. As such, it got more of an overall bump than Wild Blood, even if the actual ratio was lessened.

Whoa, call me dense, but the old ratio of 1 pt to body was 1/3 of a build for 2 body. The new ratio is 6 times worse, IIRC. Not spending the time to look it up, as Edwin could not possibly care less.

It was 1 Psi Point = 2 body. Strictly converted, it would be 2 points should be 12 body. Now it's 2 points = 6 body.
As I said, they're not meant to be healers.
6 body is STILL more than your average human commoner has.
As I said, they're not meant to be healers.

I don't understand why you would increase the cost of the smithing promo from 15 build to 20 build after all is said and done. I thought that this career point rebalance was to help people do faster calculations in their head not to nerf or over complicate any of the lists or abilities. All that seems to have come from this change is resistance from players and dilution several well used skills.

Man, Im sorry you feel that way. We have not yet implemented the system, so no one has seen the benefits of the simplified math yet, but it will certainly work as intended because indeed the numbers will be smaller and easier to calculate.
On the upside for Smiths, we did or are making lots of improvements to Smiths. I cant remember if some of those improvements where announced yet or not. We also have a higher smith list in the works, in fact using some of the feedback that you sent in a while back.
I understand that sometimes its far easier to see the negative at first, but please be assured that I only approve changes with the best interests off the game in mind. I certainly don't want things to suck and only work hard to make things better. Sometimes something will get "nerfed"... but we will work hard to make sure all the lists are worth the build spent into them.
I suppose what i'm just trying to say is, always wait to give things a chance and keep the faith

14. Races that begin with career points now begin with 3 points instead of 10.
What races provide a CP starter bump?
15. All profession lists that begin with career points now begin with 1 point instead of 3.
Does this also apply to Faith and Magic? If not whats the starter for clerics, priest, etc for example?
Thx!!
