I'm no weather man, but this is what the weather folks seem to be saying about the sparta area:

Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 8F. Winds light and variable.
Tomorrow: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 32F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.
[glow=red,2,300]Tomorrow night: Cloudy with snow. Low 27F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected.
Saturday: On and off snow showers early. Peeks of sunshine later. High 36F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 30%.
Sunday: A few clouds. Highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid 20s. ][/glow]
Monday: More sun than clouds. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the upper 30s.

Looks like we are in for some snow and winds to make for a chilly weekend.  Especially when you take into consideration that the camp always seems to be about 5 degrees colder than the rest of sparta.  Not exactly a snowacolypse, but I'd bring some extra hot coco just in case.

Rumors for February are posted, sorry for the lack of formal announcement.

This is completely off topic Geoff, but quick question. With the old forums there was the sidebar with links to the rumors, rulebook etc. But that disapeared when we switched to the new forums, will that be coming back to the site?

For those that can't figure it out:

Somebody be certain to tail James with a video recorder.  His reaction to snow can certainly be made into a profitable short.

Nope.

Sadly, no.  The software that enabled that sidebar is what corrupted the old forums, and is the reason we had to move to the new ones.

If you want the gory technical details, I'll tell you at the event.  It involved two pieces of Open-Source software getting into a pissing match, and hosing each other , basically.

I thought the weather was great.  i was able to dress warmly enough to go out, I did not slip at all.  Wool socks and hide boots - might not look as cool as some of those leather boots, but my feet were toasty.  Loved the snow - but then, all my capes and cloaks have hoods, large hoods that are lined. 

Mud sucked big time, but I did not fall.
