Changes to Trinkets going forward: was created by Woolsey Bysmor
Trinkets are no longer considered Trinkets, they now fall under the Scholar's Baubles, Devices and Inventions

1) All Trinkets with skills worth 3 build or less, are now Baubles, please feel free to notate this yourself on your item card.
2) All Trinkets with skills worth 4 or 5 build, are now Devices, please feel free to notate this yourself on your item card.
3) All Trinkets with skills worth 6 or 7 build are now Inventions, please feel free to notate this yourself on your item card.
4) All Trinkets with skills worth 8 or more build will be considered Inventions, but will be void at the conclusion of this year.

As a reminder: You may only use one of each type per period. So each period you may use one Bauble, one Device, and one Invention.

How is the category determined if the skill costs different things on different lists?

Edit for second question: Given this change in how often ex-trinkets can be used, are original expiration dates for trinkets remaining, or are we waiving those?

Use the cheaper cost to determine the type of item it is.

As for your second question, I will check with a few others to make sure we are all on the same track.

Sorry for the delay on the response, we are not changing the expiration dates of trinkets currently out there. Since non of the old trinkets have an expiration longer than 6 months, in July there should be no trinkets left and only baubles, devices, and inventions.

How does this apply to Trap Kits? The old rules define them as Trinkets, but they're made by a smith for 7 CP *and* you still need to use 2 Build worth of Set Traps skill to apply them.

Also, they are listed as permanent items.

Na'ar Chacov, Soul of the Stars.

Ayiri Amexis, Sorceress' Apprentice.
Lupta Tamasa, Torn and Blackened.

Nothing changes as far as Trap Kits, defining them as Trinkets was just to give them a classification.
