I know they exist, but I want to know where did they go?

Lrpstore is out of them, and that was the only place I knew of them.

Help?

Do you want a hand crossbow or something larger?

I'm trying to find out myself - I'm down to 2 bolts.  I emailed them last night, only to find out their supplier basically stopped making them, and apparently the whole line.  If I wind up losing another bolt, I'll probably need to get a new crossbow and bolts to replace it.

What about our number of crafters? Anything from them?

Apparently, the people who made them is called Arrow Kaster.

But I still believe we have enough people who are ingenious enough to come up with replacements.

It's not too hard to find "toy" hand crossbows online - and unlike their counterparts, the poundage can be changed by playing with the string.  Bear makes a toy hand crossbow with suction tipped bolts, and I actually have a toy hand crossbow at 25 or 30lb that I would trade/sell to someone, as I really don't use it anymore.  It's not hard to make foam tipped arrows for it (I used to use it at another larp), and I can make those if anyone needs them made.

As for full size crossbows, I'm not finding much that aren't fairly serious poundage - and another issue is that crossbows are illegal in NJ (and cannot techincally be mailed to NJ) unless you are a disabled hunter and have a special permit.

Not sure what size this is, but it could easily be used for dowels with foam tips rather than the included suction cups.
