Coming from Salem MA

Probably the wrong thread to ask this however this is where I wound up' I am working in Salem MA and hope to get to KR a couple of times before I go back to the Chicago Area in April

Can anyone tell me about best routes and approximate driving time from Salem Ma to KR?
Departure from Salem would be about 14:00 on a Friday

Depends on which route you take. If you can avoid the Mass Pike around rush hour, you should do so at all costs. If you take 95 South, you'll go through RI, CT, NY and then hit Jersey, that drive is going to be about 4 to 5 hours. If you take 95 to the Mass Pike, you'll just go through CT, NY and then NJ and take 84 West down, traffic is going to take it closer to 5 hours but you'll avoid the Tappanzee traffic around rush hour.

Note to the above comment of the Tappanzee, Always has traffic. At least from what I've seen....

I generally go 90 west to 87 west and I've never had a problem with traffic.

You can also speak with Steve B, aka Gregor. He drives down regularly from Concord to events.

Tappanzee does normally have icky traffic around rush hour but compared to the George Washington Bridge, its nothing.
