Bastard Axe questions

Hello everyone! I found a Larp axe online that is 40 inches in length. The axe's aesthetic clearly is meant for it to be a two-handed axe. So my first question is: Are there Bastard axes in Knight realms? Bastard weapons have a minimum length of 42". I am assuming that the 2 inches wont be a big deal? I believe 2 handed weapons are supposed to be a minimum of 48", so there would be a whopping 8 inch difference (luckily I would rather use a bastard or single handed weapon but I would like to know what all the options on the table are). So any information regarding the aforementioned questions would be greatly appreciated!

I think it would count as a bastard edged or a bastard blunt. It should be legal.

If the entire weapon is 40" it would be labeled as a 1 handed Edged weapon, unless there were circumstances in which you couldn't hold it safely with one hand.

So the 40 inches wouldn't allow me to use it as a bastard? is it really that strict? I find that hard to believe

You would need a weapon that is 42" long for it to be a bastard weapon.

Also, bear in mind, that just because it is labeled a One Handed Edge, that doesn't mean you CAN'T wield it in two hands. You just get no added benefit.
