Suck it up and come.  Seriously, sleep with a pillow under your knees while lying on your back.  Ice is your friend the first few days.  Muscle relaxants are also your friend, as are any of the standard painkillers your doctor should prescribe for you.  Use them.  If it is a dislocation of a vertebra you could be in luck and as I did when this first occurred, had as my GP a Doctor of Osteopathy, who popped the sucker back in.  Ah, talk about instant relief. 

If you are going to watch BB on the tube, lie on your back with a pillow under your knees.  There is a theme to this.

If none of the above can be obtained, fall back to drinking heavily.  Pain tells you something is wrong, but is not your friend.
