Viking Warrior Women was created by Goggs
I came across this today - it's a really small study (only 14 burials were studied) but it seems some researchers in Australia have found new evidence that, of the great many Viking raiders that invaded England in the 8th century, there were as many female warriors as male warriors.

Kind of cool to imagine - and perhaps good food for thought for those of us who draw our inspiration from history!

What's more shocking is that the Vikings made it all the way to Australia.
