website oddities

Has anyone been experiencing issues with website content? Alot of pictures are broken links for me and the page keeps loading oddly. A few spammers popped up in other forum areas and I'm wondering if it's related/affecting anyone else.

Have a bug report as well;

In the event recaps after the anti spam check heading, there is no "I'm not a robot" checkbox, and no captcha image to work with.

Both the Forums and the Cards System have been having issues on and off the past week or so. The Powers That Be are aware, though. Not that I want to jinx anything, but the sites are seeming much better than they've been closer to the event.

For lack of a better term, the KR website has been under heavy load / attack from both script kiddies overseas, and search engines crawling them non-stop.

I've been working with the Staff to help out where I can and try to mitigate it - it should be improving soon as we put some measures in place.

I would have thought the new palisade would protect us from foreign invaders, but it seems they just attack more and more often since we built it! xD

Did none of you read James' prologue from the event & his FB post? "Presumed victory over the Nulls"... c'mon. We all know it's the Nulls attacking the website and forum.

I've put some new steps in place that should help over time. For the rest of the weekend, it is likely there will still be issues with images and photos, but these should decrease as the new system kicks in and "learns" about them.

I'll be keeping an eye on this over the next few days to see if it helps.
