Tea Dueling was created by Dame Clytie Silverfang
During my exploits in the creation of my Fire Tea, A traveler stopped by with an interesting competition of sorts. I was lucky to have witnessed a few rounds and to have been taught the rules for a game called "Tea Dueling."
I'm still working on complete understanding of the rules, but if there is enough interest in the town, I would be happy to host a few rounds during the coming solstice festival. We're all overworking and overworrying ourselves, and something should be done to ease that just a bit. Nothing does that quite like a bit of friendly competition.
Not to mention, win or lose, everyone gets tea.

How exactly does the game go? Should we bring our own tea?

I'm just imagining people with teacups jousting at each other, shouting "Have at thee!"
Or better yet, people lunging at each other with teapots. I WILL ENTER THIS TEA DUAL, FOR MY TEAPOT IS MADE OF METAL AND MAGIC AND THUS FAR SUPERIOR!

Alright, now that the reclamation festival has officially been announced, I'll elaborate a bit more. First, no, tea will be provided by yours truly. Second, no we aren't going to beat each other up with teaware. That's an entirely different festival and I'll be running that event then.
I don't want to give too much away, but come with empty stomachs the desire to not necessarily attack each other, and we can have some fun. There isn't a set time yet, but that will be made clearer closer to the date. Any other questions, let me know, and I'll share what I can.

Try not to commit anything we'd have to consider assault, please.

That was a joke.

I was trying to be funny.

I'm not gonna have people beat each other up with teapots.

It's a waste of perfectly good teapots.

Knight Captain

Clytie said she will provide the tea.

However the question is raised should another bring a tisane?

Knight Captain, Birgitta, I will provide the tea for the dueling itself. However, there's no reason that you cannot bring your own teas or tisanes for personal consumption and sharing. If anyone is insistent on the use of their own tea, I'm sure that can be arranged as well, with routine poison checks to make sure that no one dies on my watch.
Cookies will also be provided for the dueling, and they can't be substituted. Once again, if you want to bring your own and [strike]bribe me[/strike] share with others, that's completely fine as well. The more the merrier.

That would be an interesting competition, Magnus, perhaps I could try to work something out like that for the extended feast. If you would mike to help organize or judge such a competition, sent me a private missive and we can work out the details.
