It should be noted that Karkat is in no way officially charged as Warden of the prison, and bears no official authority within the prison system. As an owner of a writ to practice dark arts Karkat may hold no title whatsoever.

To clarify, as a Guardsman. We're working on appointing a new Warden of the Prison, after the recent riots. It will not be Karkat, but he does do things there to improve it.
