Help Plan the St. Astrid's Day Dance, Travance!

There is a holy day approaching, Travance,
And on this day, we'll host a dance.
But first we'll need decorations, helpers, and food,
And perhaps you could bring something that you have brewed.
We'll need help setting up,
Some plates and some cups,
And help cleaning at the end of the day.
If you have something in mind,
Would you please be so kind
As to write them here and have a say?

If I may with further clarity display,
I do believe Nalick speaks of St. Astrid's Day,

Solid Rhyme,
In Good Time,

What help exactly do you need?
Copious quantities of feed,
Help setting up as well I'm sure,
But I assume that there is more.
Nice decorations of what sort?
Paintings of the Palace's Court?.
Fragrant roses to spread around?
Drinks within which sorrows can drown?
I'm sure a list will come in time,
I just wanted to write a rhyme.

We will need decor that fits the setting:
Love and compassion and, of course, coquetting.
We'll need linens with which to cover the tables.
We'll need your wit, your stories and your fables.
Most of all, we'll need a good amount of food.
Bring any of these, you'll have my deep gratitude.

Why ye must warn us before this dance
is afterall, this is Travance
Scunners might crash your soiree
an' leave ye feelin' nae so gay
Some of us practice the arts of war
so that others are spared the horrid chore
Some who follow the Lord of Light and War
would be willing to protect ye fra' th' boor
know that with warnings ahead
we mayhaps can stop your feelings dread
So please take heed and tell your fellow
When on St Astrid's day ye take time to mellow.

Tis funny the lengths mortals worry,
round this land do we randomly scurry.

St. Astrid found such at a wedding day,
the couple accosted and town in disarray.
Raiders tried to their awful best,
to plunge their daggers in many a chest.
St. Astrid stood and gathered the flock,
to witness the couple tie the knot.

When ruffians at last grew near,
St. Astrid faced them without fear.
Holy light shown down on Husband and Wife,
filling the two with power to avert the strife.
Rallying their families and friends to fight,
the hapless bandits were routed and ran in fright.

The old adage, began from these bandit's fall.
When faced with Love, Love Conquers All.

Might I recommend the activity of pun battles? Or are they to evil?

It is now when love is in the air this fine month,
That plants will show renewed vitality with a bulb.
A shining light of compassion and mercy from an angel.
While starry-eyed participant grasp the cloven orange.
These golden moments are fresh, they will last till hair turns silver.
