Greetings again to one and all!
As things move forward with the play The Baron has conscripted, we have reached the point where we begin the process of casting, which means that it is time for Auditions!
If you have signed up (or didn't get a chance to and still want to be in the play), please join us down in the Drega'Mire pavilion (yes, all the way down past Ostcliff) between the hours of noon and 5 pm on any of the following dates:
Thursday, June 1st
Saturday June 3rd
Saturday June 24th
If possible, please attach below this notice the date that you will auditioning so that we have a better idea of how to set our schedules.
Extra people to provide protection and help to prevent interruptions to the audition process would be greatly appreciated and monetarily compensated. Please attach your name and the date for which you wish to volunteer below this notice.
Please bring an appropriate audition piece according to the following guidelines:
Actors: Please bring a monologue that will last for approximately two minutes. Any person using speeches involving a Highlander screaming "FREEDOM!" will be summarily drawn and quartered like their hero.
Singers: Please bring a memorized piece of any musical selection lasting no longer than two minutes. Accompaniment will only be available on the Thursday audition. If you wish to have accompaniment, please bring a parchment with lyrics and guitar chord notations.
Instrumentalists: Please demonstrate part of a memorized piece lasting no longer than two minutes. Improvisational composing is highly encouraged - this is the time to really show off. If you come on the Thursday audition, you may be asked to improvise a second part to a duet, the first part being provided by The Creepy Bard (Gods help you).
Dancers: All choreographed dance within this production will be very simplistic and so we will not require a dance audition, only your assurances that you can actually dance. If you have something extraordinary to show us that you wish to bring to our attention, we ask that you provide your own accompaniment ((OOG: If it's really that good, you may use an audio recording device to provide accompaniment. We will NOT have electricity where the auditions are being held.)).
We hope to see everyone there!
-Trent Mayfaire
((OOG note: People MUST stay in-game at all times during the audition process. NO Broadway, NO Modern pieces, and NO "real" places (you may change names and dates to make things fit better). For those who need a real-year equivalent to work off of, since there are plans for a transcontinental railroad underway, anything from the 1860's or earlier is fair game.))
