Meet and Greet

I got a bit inspired by Bluejay. No, not like that.

He's got a service going on pairing and matching people up for the Ball, people who might not otherwise meet and get to know each other and it got me thinking. There's people what people don't meet because of things they heard about them. I should know.

When the most hurtful thing you breathed in wasn't ash and coal dust, you know you had an interesting childhood.

The tales and rumors passed off as fact had me avoiding some people like they were a bar without a bartender. Why even approach? In other words, I hated a lot of people--until I met them. That's just how it goes sometimes.

If you want me introducing you, I ought to be around somewhat and know almost everyone in town at this point.

Oh right. Nadia, it'd be weird if I just dragged strangers to you. I'd feel like a cat dropping off a little mouse and hoping it didn't scurry away. "Hey, this is Nadia an--and he's already gone out the door face first."

I mean I'll give it a shot I suppose.

You don't have to drag them you can drag me around! Maybe if you see someone I should meet!

You should definitely start somewhere. Maybe I ought not start with the more colorful fellows about town. We'll build our way up or just go on a bumpy ride between the wild and the tame.

Are you just doing this for the ball or in general? While I can't attend the ball this year, if you're talking about in general I am always open to people being thrown my way. If you think they can handle me that is!

Nah, not the Ball. This might be one of the few times I say this with a straight face, but I think Bluejay has that handled.

It's just getting people to meet. Whether you lot can handle each other is up to you but it's all about people making up their own minds.
