Moresca Ball Feast

At the Moresca Ball, the game will be providing food for a feast. However it has become tradition for this ball for us to ask for food donations as well from the players coming, so that the feasting can be far grander than it would be otherwise. So to that end, we are encouraging you to bring a dish to the Ball. This is not required, but doing so will get you extra service and in some cases build.

We are offering 500 SP for every cold dish or dessert, with no upper limit, and 1 build for a large Crockpot full of hot food with a maximum of one build per person.

The only requirement is that you post here ahead of time letting me know what you plan to bring so that I can be prepared. I will update this list of planned player food donations, so that you can see what everyone else is planning to bring, so you can see what we have enough of and what we are lacking.

Just a note:
There is no facilities available on-site to heat up anything. Hot dishes, must either be brought in a crock-pot, which can be plugged in, or in a chafing dish, with stenos lit underneath.

[strike]I've got an experimental dessert recipe I've had swimming around in my head I've been wanting to try...

Look for a platter or two of Jenna's Bodacious Brown Sugar Bites (patent pending)

Edit: These things are basically praline without the nuts: sugar, corn syrup, eggs, & flavoring. If under normal circumstance the only thing that stops you from eating pralines is that they're you know, nuts, then rejoice![/strike]

Cancel the bites. I made up a test batch, and while they are indeed bodacious, they are also quite cost-prohibitive in large batches.

Sorry!

With the number of people we have we probably have at least one person with every common food allergy, plus vegetarians and vegans.  It will be rare for each dish to accomodate the entire populace.  I know I can think of at least 5 different allergies off the top of my head, and its really not appropriate to ask people to post what they are allergic to here.  Its probably better if you list in this post what your dish contains if its a common allergy (nuts, hot pepper, etc) or if its specifically gluten-free or vegetarian.

To contribute to Kristen's comment, I have an additional suggestion that might make it easier.
PLEASE make a small place card with the name of your dish, listing ingredients or anything that might cause issues for anyone with allergies.
When you bring your dish to the ball, you can set up the card next to it.

example, if I was making stew:

Beef Bourguignon
Main ingredients: Chuck beef, bacon,
carrots, onions, garlic, cognac, red wine,
tomato paste, flour, mushrooms, seasoning
Chef: MaryBeth
