Happy Birthday, Knight Realms!

10 years ago today, the first KR event was held!

Congratulations, James Kimball, on an amazing accomplishment!

And let us not forget Rob Bean, who - although he passed away in the early years of KR - was also a part of creating the game we know and love today.

TEN YEARS! 

Each event is a celebration of our game and a tribute to Rob's memory.

For the 10th aniversary event Tommy will be playing a mummy that we will hot glue wraps on, it should bring back some memories.

Happy anniversary KR.  The usual rule for a 10 year anniversary is some sort of tin or aluminum product.  Hmm... ideas anyone?

I cant believe i've been Larping with KR for 10 years. I was @ the very first event. I played slack. The game was very different.

We fought goblins the first event.

We stole there Nexus.  Someone dropped it and it cracked. so for like the first year and a half when someone died there was a good chance that the healer would res you inside out.

I was tossed in jail every event. I also killed the first PC ever.

I think about Rob bean all the time. He will always be missed.

Wow.  10 years.  I can't make the same claims sa Quagz, but I was at event number 6 or 8? I believe.  Within the first year sometime. 

I started off playing Kraznoc when I was 13.  And Chris Kane stole all my stuff while I was sleeping at my first event.  What a guy haha.

Uton Alexander the undead alchemist.
The FIRST drow caves.  Whoa.
When DJ got the very first Spirit of the Dragon and was instantly the most poweful character in the game.
The cracked Nexus.

And of course Rob.  The image of him wearing that bright purple tunic, making him look like Grimmace will be forever burned in my memory haha.  I sure do miss him.

KR has been a part of my life for almost half of my existence.  Thank you.

Great Big Thumbs Up on your 10th!  I've never had any regrets being a part of such a great group.
I used to play dungeons & dragons before some of your players were even born and my only wish is I would have liked to have known about KR earlier.
I never got to meet Rob but from what I have heard I think I would have enjoyed his company as much as I do all of you every month...

I remember hearing about kr's early days from derrick and my mom from when she used to larp. I dont remember what event it was,but I remember I was terrified by someone involving something with teeth.I
was convinced the whole thing was real lol but then again I was only 10

I remember rob and how big his heart and personality was and all the cool stuff he did and had always kept me busy.He was an awesome guy.

10 years. Wow.
First time for me was August 98, and the Kendrick came in that September. What a boat-load of memories to look back on.

Yes, I did steal all the money from my 13 year old scouts, because someone had to teach them that lesson! The first drow caves still the most scarry moments to PC in. Eptos, the race war, my many plots that never panned out, turning in the theives guild, things a drow can do with a head, buying little kids teeth.

The dark rider was the toughest emotionally to get through, and the rift mod was the most insane adventure ever. Any Blockus brothers production was always a top notch plot, and of course, Team Evil!

Rob, I still miss you buddy and think about you all the time. For the rest of my life I'll wave at your old appartment on Easton Ave. I'll always remember your genuine nature, your awful mullet, the time you tried to PC and got killed within 10 minutes, the cow with rabies and ring through the udder!, and how damn hard you worked to make everyone feel welcome and be a friend to us all. God Bless you Robert, you phucking phreak!.

I met Matt White and Geoff around ten years ago playing a vampire Larp.  About 4 years ago, Matt was telling me that I would really like KR, but I was playing in another vampire Larp and had a family which I did not want to lose, so I limited myself to just one.

After the second Larp ended, Matt and I spoke at great length about KR.  Combat is quick, and your actual skills have something to do with it.  And you could actually hit someone.  I've made a few friends in the vampire Larp, and met some really interesting people, attended some strange parties, but I have to say, KR beats them both.

My memory is crap, so I can't remember the exact month I started KR. But it was about 9 years ago at Conklin. I'm pretty sure that all of the Phranklin Phreaks died our first event, I know I went through the phocus 3 times, but it was a whole lot of fun. I never made it to every event back in the day, and I still don't now, but I enjoy every minute of the events I attend.

Race War, learning Master Rogue from Kendrick and being turned in an hour later, being deathly afraid of walking around at night because of Tithmar, the Vampire Cabin, the first encounters with Lord Fallow, Subterranean Mongoloids...

Rob was a great guy, and I know that this game that James and him put together will be around for a long while. Only 11 more years until KR is legal!

I remember going to get Slack out of bad to track a guy at Conklin.  If I remember correctly, Slack doesnt get out of bed for less than 10 gold
