Because of the large number of core level rules changes we understand that any number of players may want to change their characters in some dramatic ways.
The Card System has been updated to handle most of the respend cases automatically. All Strength and Proficiency scores listed on your card at the next event will be correct as far as the Plus Value displayed. If you have a partially purchased Strength or Proficiency the system will automatically round down. For example: you were at Strength +4 having spend 15 build four times. You will now see a line like this on your card:
*Strength +3 (4x 15) =60
This shows you that your Strength that you can use at the game without making any changes is +3. It will also show you that you have 4x purchases at 15 build each for a total build spent of 60. The * at the beginning means that you have exceeded the allowed amount of purchases at that cost level and that you need to respend to fix the error. In many cases you will have spent too much build for the Strength (or other proficiency) bonus that you are allowed to use. In this example above you've spent 15 build too much.
After this is corrected (say you find 15 build and decide to keep the 4 Strength) this entry would look like this:
Strength +3 (15) =45
Strength +1 (30)
Aside from that you may still want to make some changes. Anyone will be allowed to freely move Build around between Body Points, Strength, Weapon Proficiency, Ranged Weapon Proficiency, Backstab Proficiency, Brawling Proficiency and Martial Arts Proficiency. Any build left over after this movement can be spent immediately on more instances of skills your character already knows. If you have unspent build and you'd like to buy some more Body you are free to do that as well.
Beyond that if you have a reason why you feel you need more leeway in altering your character due to the changes, simply e-mail the director with the reason why, and we will work with you to make sure you can fully enjoy your character concept.
