So its cutting it close, but I realized I'm missing a peice for my Ball costume.

Anyone know where I can get a single (or pair) of White/Off White Soft Leather or Brocade Bracers, of if not that, some kind of Cuff bracelet?  I'd like one that looks kinda like those fingerless gloves used in weddings, only NOT made of satin and preferably lace up.  I'd need them for the ball, so they'd need to shipped to my home in NJ by that week.

If anyone has seen anything like this, let me know (and yes I have exhausted usual angles of Ebay and yahoo/google search engines).  I'd just make one out of brocade but I have no sewing machine down here.  Thanks!

Don't know if this idea will make sense to you, because I'm not sure of what they call the material, but if you get some of that stiff plastic fabric/material they use to make needle-point totes, bookmarks and such, you could cover it with fabric by hand, or use, say a fabric glue like Tacky-glue (you could get that at the same sewing or craft store you get the plastic needlepoint "fabric").  It should make a reasonable bracer for the night; you could probably even lace it up using the grid of the plastic.

Its an interesting thought, but I dont have enough faith that in the end what I'd make would be worth the time or even minimal cash I'd spend - I'd rather nothing than something I'm not really happy with.  Thanks for the thought though, its certainly a creative idea - if I have time I'll check out the local micheals and see if its more viable than I picture in my head. :)

Haha not a bad call Jen!  Actually Kate was kind enough to whip something simple up for me - Thanks!
