Bringing in Firewood

I don't know where this belongs, so if it doesn't belong here, feel free to move it.

Once upon a time, I remember a post about firewood for events being made, but I couldn't find it. With our gypsy party we were planning on making food in the fire pit near our cabin, but I want to know if we bring firewood, just find stuff in the woods, or have to buy it from the ranger.

You can bring firewood from within the area but not from far away. Parks everywhere are trying to avoid the spread of an Asian beetle that wipes out trees, so they want firewood to be local. You can buy it from several homes on the roads into Hickory Run, at stores in the neighboring towns, at the camp store within the park, or you can forage for it within the park.

Another question, that has nothing to do with firewood and everything to do with bears...

Once we're done our party, where do I bring the trash bag filled with delicious smelling trash? Obviously we can't leave it at the site.

There is always a dumpster on site.  I believe at Daddy Allen it is right near the Inn, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

Behind the Inn, on the left (assuming you're in front of the Inn, facing the doors).  It's on the downhill side of the lot behind the Inn.
