Craziest thing is I just saw him at a Con back in March and seemed as lively as ever, a sad day.

He had a lot of harsh stuff going on in his life very recently, he lived not to far from where I am, and we went out that way alot.
I actually stopped painting because I wasn't as good as Frazetta and never would be.

Tears.  You stopped painting?  Sad choice.  Not one he would have approved of either.

Sweetie I just had a revelation on effort that I have waited from 1987 til now to hit.  It happened only a few weeks ago.

Persrverance is required.  Pick up that pen pencil or brush again.  Please.

You may not fill his shoes but you can wear your own and make others happy.

His wife actually told me the same thing when I met her.
Said she stopped painting when she married him.

That doesn't surprise me.  I've known historically speaking many women who started or stopped when they married painters.  Studied it in Art History.  Some were taught by their husbands while others became the models for them.

Intersting subject with whole books written on it.
