Weapon Names

Do you name your weapons and what do you name them?

My arrows: Pinpricks,

Dagger: Sir Stabaslot, Revenge

Mine came with a name.

I named my sword eternal hunt

I named one, and the other was given a name before me.

Rime Frost, and Silver Silence

I have named my sword Foe-grim.

One came with a name, Phaldor. The other I had made, Meoraich (Gaelic meaning to remember or to meditate)

Delinia's is called Nera, and though I named it oog, waiting on backstory approval for it to be named ig.

Lorelai just got a named sword, but it isn't very unique, and may see about renaming it. I think it's called Defender.

Let's see, Elric's legendary work is named Salutations, while his mithril sword is pigsticker (it was also the one used to slice off the bit of Tamaril tusk that Elric wears around his neck)

I have a fire dagger on loan right now. it came with a name: The Flamestriker's Dagger

Now, if we were talking about guitars or instruments...

OKAY So because I really dig Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night I totally named my sword because It would have to do with my characters Noble Phantasam.

I call my two handed "Sorrow Bringer"

Who ever made my original staff when I first started named it for me. He named it Kindness. Ya know, so you can kill things with kindness.

I've been having Goggins refer to his exploding doohickey as "The Goggstopper."

Because pun.

Owen's blade is called Astra, which I chose OOG, because in Hindu mythology, every deity had their Astra, their divine weapon to cast down evil, and Owen's blade is his.

I have not yet named my sword and shield IG as Seamus... But my handaxe and dagger have names.

The dagger is Trollsticker, because it is made of Meteoric Fire and only brought out to deliver killing blows to trolls.

The handaxe (which is also Meteoric Fire and has more or less replaced Trollsticker) is named Grim-sever. This is becasue of the time Grimkjell was chaotically altered right next to me and turned to attack. His backswing knocked my sword from my hand due to the abrupt and sudden attack, so I kicked the axe from it's holster in my shield and rather quickly pummeled him down with it. He jokingly flinches away from it in-game and as of the most recent event he helped me decide between Grim-sever and Grimbane. Opted for the former because: "There's too f***in' many weapons with BANE in their names..."

Without going too much into detail (because I'd rather talk about it IG), my legendary work weapon is named Laraekiejir which is 3.5 Draconic for blood weapon.

I also named my scimitar Desert Wind after the legacy scimitar.
