From manhattan

Besides bumming a ride off of people  how would one get from manhattan to camp sac?

You could take the train from madison square garden to any place in NJ, were someone in NJ might be more willing to pick someone up. Off hand I do not know which train or train stop is closest to camp. I know there is a dover train station, which is only about 25 min from camp.

Where in Manhattan are you trying to get a ride from? I come from Long Island so I pass through Manhattan and we might be able to arrange something.

Theres also a Bus to Sparta...  I don't know the details but its Gate 405 or so in Port Authority. I was debating trying that in January.

Look at the Rt. 80 schedules.

WARNING - My browser warned me there was potential malware / viruses on the site.  I didn't get hit with anything, but be careful if you click on the link, and have a good Anti-Virus app installed.

If you take the Lakeland bus Route 80 West from NYC, you would have to get off at Hopatcong or Netcong QuikChek stop or Budd Lake & find a way up Route 15.  Same distance from Dover train to KR.

The main issue is getting from I-80 & up Rte 15.

The end of the Rt. 80 Express isn't too bad - it's at the Sparta Police / Township building .  Not far at all, but you'd still need a ride for the last part, about 5-10 minutes.

This is actually a big help for the community - as we discuss this more, I'll begin adding it to the website for future visitors, as I did with the Dover directions.
